GCVHOA BOARD MEETING
Held March 13, 2006
Roll Call — Bill Hanson, Richard Barrett, Mary Hurst, Joe Musumeci, Glory Schrader present
Minutes from the February 13, 2006 meeting were read. Mary Hurst made the motion to accept with Richard’s second, Nays —none
Treasurers report was read — there is $12,842.74 in the operating account and $92,803.87 in the reserve account with $30,613.91 still in the SBA fund. Mary Hurst made the motion to accept the report with Bill Hanson’s second — nays none.
OLD BUSINESS
Bill Hanson stated we now have Bright House cable service for TV, Road Runner DSL for the computers and Vonage Broad Band with a fixed rate for the phone company. The database for Great Cypress Village is now installed on the office computer.
Wayne Morris reported that Pasco County had been fined for dumping excess water during the flood. The lawyer we had hired on a contingency basis kept papers we had filed. He had suggested that instead of a lawsuit against the county we should sue the insurance company but that probably the best idea would be to just drop it. The matter was tabled until the BOD can determine if a committee should be set up to pursue action.
Jim Koukalis will be pressure washing the shuffleboard courts on Saturday, March 18th• Mary Daly will stencil the numbers on. Jerry Mallerkey, John Michels, Joe Musumeci, Richard Barrett and Bob Schrader volunteered to put the new benches together. Charlie will haul the old ones away.
Bruce Van Arnam, Jerry Mallerkey, Richard Barrett, John Castiglia and Joe Musumeci volunteered to build the new horseshoe courts.
Road sealing has been done by Pop-Pop the Sealer man and after the final inspection by Joe Musumeci they will be paid the final installment. Thanks to all the residents who followed the sometime confusing traffic and parking patterns and also a big thank you to Jim Haley for fielding all the phone calls.

Discussion about the new copier was tabled to allow the BOD to review the proposals.

Maintenance - New volunteers - Mike Flannagan, Bruce VanArnam, Richard Barrett, Bob Mitchell.
Architectural — John Castiglia volunteered to be a new member of this committee. They will be meeting with the Code Enforcement committee on March 14th to check on any violations in the village.
Social Club - Breakfast on Saturday
Cookbooks are here and will be available this Thursday.
Patty suggested that cordless mikes be purchased for meetings. She also suggested a different seating arrangement to keep chairs from close proximity to vertical blinds.
Sue Waisman, Kim Musumeci, Betty Musumeci, Joan Mallerkey and Mary Hurst volunteered to plant flowers on Sunday, March 19th
Election - Good job done, Thanks for all your hard work
Documents - Many hours were spent trying to uncomplicated the documents and it is very frustrating for everyone on this committee that the residents voted down all the changes. It was suggested that more informational meetings should be held. Patty Mitchell and Annette Froiseth will chair a committee to check into updating our phone books possibly using a 3-ring binder.The spa has been repaired and seems to be holding water. The check for the final payment will be withheld until final inspection by Joe Musumeci.
