Annual Meeting Held 3/12/2007

(Pending Approval at the 2008 Annual Meeting)

 

The Secretary asked if anyone would like to run the Annual Meeting.  No one came forward so the meeting was called to order by Secretary Chad Reid.  After the pledge of allegiance, a role call was done to determine if at least 50 property owners were in attendance.  There were 93 in attendance (which included proxies)

The minutes of the last Annual Meeting held March 13th, 2006.  There was a motion by Orby, seconded by Mary Hurst and the minutes were approved. 

The election committee gave the results of the voting for Board seats, budget, capital improvement and document changes. (see attached voting results)

 

There was discussion and voting on the following items

  1. Lock on the door for Bingo Supplies (Majority required)

  2. Roof over the front door approximate expense $825.00 (75% required)

  3. Extend roof over office windows  $1650.00 (75% required)

  4. Possibility of the Board contributing to the purchase of the new Bingo Machine (Majority required)

  5. Advertising on the web site  (Majority required)

  6. Remove illegal verbiage concerning no children from the R9 of the Declarations (75% required)

  7. Addition to page 33 of declarations concerning color swatches (75% required)

  8. Get prices for Management Company to get people to live by the Restrictions (this item was not on the agenda but requested by the property owners) (Majority required)

The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 and after a short break, the Monthly BOD meeting commenced

GCVHOA BOARD MEETING
 Held March 13, 2007

(Awaiting Approval in April)

 

Call to Order by President Joe Musumeci

Roll Call: Mary Hurst, Chad Reid, Richard Barrett, Glory Schrader and Joe Musumeci were present.  John Castiglia was absent.

Minutes of last meeting were read by the secretary and approved by the Board.

Reading of the Financial Report – February's financial report was read and approved.  

 

Committee Reports

 

Crime Watch:  All Quiet

 

Welcoming:  There were 2 new property owners welcomed this month. 

       Joseph W. and Jennifer Dilandro : 16821 Olivaud Street
       Melissa Ballard: 10305 Andre Blvd.  Marie Ballard (Melissa's Mom will be occupying the residence).

 

Code Enforcement:  The Code Committee has decided to work closer with the Architectural Committee and will now hold joint meetings.

 

Architectural:  Patty complained that some in the park are either not filling out any form at all or filling them out without the correct information and doing as they please. 

 

Maintenance: The security light next to the chimney has been fixed without the electrician.   

 

RV Area:   A lawn mower has been donated but sustained damage on its first use.  The blade will have to be replaced.  Thanks to Carl Van Hekle for the donation and the work that he performed at the RV area.  

 

Pool Area:  The heating units are working and the pool was up to 80 Degrees the other day.  It is now hard to get a chair.

 

Social Club:  Patty reminded everyone of the many upcoming social events. 

 

Election Committee:  The committee did a remarkable job this year (as there are no rumors of law suits).  The Board and those in attendance thanked Brenda Cloukey, Judy Van Arnam, Annette Froiseth, George Quail and Camille Smith for their hard work.  We hope they will volunteer again next year.   

 

OLD BUSINESS

Olivaud Flooding -  No change in status but needs to be addressed by the new Board. 

 

State Grant for Hurricane Preparedness:  It appears that there are no longer funds for the project.

 

Discuss Andre Sign - Possibility of moving it to common ground on west side of Andre was tabled until next meeting.

 

Cleanup of retention area behind clubhouse - Some work has been done by Charlie but the committee will continue to get estimates on the cleanup. 

 

Designated Non-Smoking area at Pool - tabled until next meeting

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

Pool Cover - Bob and Mary Johnson and Patty have been getting prices for a new cover.  The proceeds of the recent silent auction are earmarked to pay for the cover.  Due to it having to be stored until next fall it was decided to wait until then to make the purchase.

 

Computer and Phone problems at Clubhouse have been fixed by Chad with help from Bill Hanson and Brighthouse cable

 

No dogs at Pool Sign - Mary and Richard to find out if there are pre-made signs rather than have one made
