The Financial report was read and approved by the Board
Documents Committee: Mary Johnson reported that the committee is almost finished and will be making its recommendations to the Board shortly.
Olivaud St flooding: No information at this time
Tree Trimming: Mary reported that we would need to check into the insurance coverage for volunteers to trim trees. Volunteers have done much in the past around the park without any problems. John received an estimate from Pasco Tree Service an annually fee would be $1,845 and semi-annually would be $1,517 for 82 palm trees. The request for the purchase of a power pole trimmer was tabled again until the next meeting.
55+ instrument: The Board voted to cancel the creation of a document by Attorney that was agreed upon at the October meeting. The Board agreed to include the document change as part of the March Ballot. There will be an informational meeting sometime in February and the attorney will explain 55+and answer any questions from the members at that time.
Raising monthly fees: After much discussion, the board approved a motion to raise the monthly fee from $41.00 to $50.00. This rate will include the payment for the road improvements. The raise will go into effect as of Jan. 2008. A notification will go out to all members giving 30 day notice.
1. December 15th, 2007 will be deadline
for ballot, the board must approve any items requiring a vote, as well a the
budget prior to that date.
2. Request to place a donation box for the spaying
of stray cats was requested by Barbara Reid and was approved by the Board.
3. It was approved by the Board to purchase new signs at
both entrances. Patty
will get estimates
4. Maintenance of pool vs. cleaning contractor: Joe
will continue to take care of maintenance
5. Newspaper receptacle: suggestions were made to
surround with a fence or some shrubs, this was tabled until next meeting
6. Rising cost of common ground maintenance: Last
year the cost of tree trimming was $3,200 and $2,800 for side walk repair.
This will be addressed when the budget is discussed at a later meeting.
7. The Board approved the removal of a bush that is blocking view of traffic at Harley and Marinette.
