GCVHOA BOARD MEETING

Call to Order

Minutes of Last Meeting

Read by the secretary and approved with modifications by the Board.

 

Reading of the Financial Report

Committee Reports

Welcoming: Two new residents, Gene and Bev Rohrwasser on De Koster Ave and Simon and Marilyn Wood on Camille St.

Code Enforcement: No report

Architectural: No report

Document Committee: Glory gave a report on the duties of the committee members and stated that there would be phone numbers given to home owners if any information is needed she also gave the board a proposed amendments to park documents which after the board reviews, will be given to the attorney to look over.

Maintenance: Patty asked for a committee to clean poolside furniture Volunteers were Jack Fair, Jackie and Paul, Jimmy, Glory Art, Jerry Tom, Bruce and Gary

RV Area:  Jack reported seeing someone in the RV are and called police but no one was found

Pool Area: Bob reported there was minor plumbing done which saved the excess water usage from 2,000 gal to about 300 gal  Patty asked that we please make sure the clubhouse doors are locked and all lights are turned off before leaving  Joe suggested extending the pool area near the parking lot fence to accommodate more residents he got an estimate of $4,000 MJ suggested we obtain a few more estimates

Social Club: Patty reminded us of that the social events are posted on the bulletin board also the social club purchased pool chairs and tables at $460.00.  Eventually more will be needed  Maryanne and John donated an electrical dart board for the game room.

Election Committee: MJ asked that all questions for the attorney on Feb. 18 be brief as we will be charged by the hour for his time

OLD BUSINESS

Olivaud St flooding:  MJ suggested we cancel this due to the expense

Tree trimming: MJ reported that the attorney suggested that if we use volunteers they must be experienced and sign a waiver for insurance purposes   

Newspaper receptacle: to surround with shrubs was suggested, Patty will research the type needed

NEW BUSINESS

 

Crime Watch: Jack reported that there have been 4 burglaries since 12/30/2007 he also stated that there was a loud noise in the woods behind Olivaud St late at night and he called the police  Jack went to the Crime Watch Dept of Pasco and was told that it was disbanded due to lack of police officers and it was suggested that we need to police on our own  there is a Citizens Police Academy and Jack asked anyone wanting  to attend classes to see him  Kathy Morgan suggested that the homeowners be told specifics regarding burglaries in the park  John suggested anyone seeing anything suspicious to get a tag number of unfamiliar autos in the park, Ken suggested homeowners purchase alarms to alert intrusion of the home, Dale demonstrated an alarm to consider buying, MJ also passed out brochures for an alarm company.

MJ motioned to adjourn the meeting and was seconded by George and board members agreed.
