GCVHOA BOD MEETING
March 8th 2010
The meeting was called to order by President Dutch Sykes who led in The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
ROLL CALL: Present were Mary Noack, Paul Bredlau, Mary Hurst, John Castiglia, Bob Ayers and Dutch Sykes.
MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Paul Bredlau read the minutes of the February meeting. Mary Hurst motioned to accept as read and Paul Bredlau seconded. All present voted yes to accept.
FINANCIAL REPORT: Mary Noack read the financial report as of the February 28th meeting. Balance in the operating account is $22,119.51. The reserve account balance is $26,119.48. There are also two CDs totaling $60,000 with interest of $448.82. Paul Bredlau motioned to accept the financial report as read and Mary Hurst seconded. All present voted to accept the report as read.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
WELCOMING: Mary Hurst said the committee visited two homes. Welcomed were the Tursi family and also Wanda Brown.
CODE ENFORCEMENT/ARCHITECTURAL: Nothing to report.
MAINTENANCE: Chet stated that the two outlets in the kitchen were replaced with GFC outlets on each side of the sink.
RV AREA: Chad Reid reported that the RV area system is up and functional. He said that all who have vehicles in the RV area will receive a flyer with instructions to enter the area. He said that they appreciated all those who donated to the system.
POOL AREA: Chet Kosko said that that the pool side furniture was about 80% cleaned and he will continue to clean them as weather permits.
ELECTION: Brenda Cloukey thanked her committee for their work during this election period.
SOCIAL CLUB: Jackie Bredlau stated all of the activities taking place for the rest of the month and into April. She also said that people who had yard sales during the Village yard sale, need to pay their $2.00 to help defray the advertising costs.
DOCUMENTS: Nothing to report.
OLD BUSINESS: Hand Rail. Larry Frazier presented three possibilities for the hand rail from the sidewalk to the door of the clubhouse. After discussion by the people and the BOD, a motion to purchase the hand rail costing $1220.00 was made by Mary Noack and seconded by John Castiglia. All present voted to accept the motion for the hand rail.
NEWSPAPER BIN: The bin is here and is open for use.
NEW BUSINESS: American Flag; tabled until next month.
WEB SITE: The president informed Chad Reid that anything put on his Web site that may cause legal action is his problem. The GCVHOA is not responsible for anything put on the site.
PALM TREE: The palm tree in front of the RV area has been trimmed.
Paul Bredlau motioned to adjourn the meeting with Mary Noack seconding. All present agreed and the meeting was adjourned at 7:45.
